World markets are moving together like never before, and sentiment reigns supreme.

The US, Japan and Hong Kong have shown that they will take whatever measures are necessary to avoid a meltdown and, IMHO, what we are having right now is a relief rally that will not last much longer (few days).

From here, I see a recession developing in the US in 1999, and a step by step decline for the DJIA until banking reforms in Japan are sufficiently advanced to allow a recovery in the entire Asian region ( at least 1 year from now.)
