I guess we see it differently. I think the infrastrucure is in place because: a. All major semi-manufacturers have signed a licence and are making the investment neccessary to manufacture RDRAM. They have also all announced product availability early to mid 99 b. Test equipment is in place c. Intel, AMD, Compaq (Alpha) and Cyrix have signed a/b/c means these companies have made the investment commitment What Rambus is selling is intelectual property - I view that as software or better yet a programming tool much like a programming lanquage. You can't run Windows without a computer, can you? reh
