Diane, brusque is exactly what you should expect from Brown if you're dealing with the back office (i.e., Boston) or one of their East Coast offices. It goes with the territory/industry. They don't suffer fools (that would be you and me). This isn't a problem for me because I expect it. If it is for you, deal exclusively with your local office. I can vouch for the Denver office, and I'm sure other offices are good as well. Ask any active, long-term Brown customer. I'm sure they will agree.

By the way, I don't think there's any problem with your using the Denver (or some other office) even if you're not local to it.

I find it very interesting how effective Brown is with so little customer-orientation.
