<<< However,let me point out what I
believe are some positives for this company:>>>

<<1. Westell has been selling local loop(last mile) equipment
to all the bell companies for a number of years.>>

Has been selling T1 plug cards at no where near the volume needed
to make ADSL cost effective.

<<2. Westell has been working with Lucent to incorporate their
ADSL technology with Lucent's state-of-the-art digital switch
(the other end of the loop).>>

You call that a plus??? They are working with Aware too. We don't
even know the details of the contract as to how much of a percentage that Westell gets. What kind of bargining power does Westell have with
a Giant like Lucent when it comes down to signing a contract.
In my opinion they are using Westell.
<<3. Westell has been working with DSC to integrate ADSL with DSC's
very popular Litespan 2000 digital loop carrier system.
- DSC is now owned by Alcatel-

Again this is for a CAP based product. Enough said, not a plus.

<<4. BA,BT ADSL rollout (though small in the beginning) and
many current trials.>>

Field trails and short term initial rollouts to be fazed out by DMT
from company "X" a year from now.

<<WESTELL has been in this game a lot longer than any of
the competitors and that should account for something.
I believe when wall street gets over the cable modem hype
(although I realize at this point they are ahead of ADSL
in terms of units deployed) and some orders are realized
this stock will move.>>

That is the problem, they have been bleeding to death in ADSL longer
than anyone. Burning through CASH, the bottom line is cash flow, which
forces companies to make big changes in the end.

I may seem negative on Westell but after the CC I hit the wall of
reality. I just hope that this last run up isn't a sucker buy
created by the MM's.
Good Luck and this is all my own opinion.
