Chalk this response to ant is naive if you want...

Yes, cyberhype, and everyone is playing the game. However, my experience is that people rarely follow advice. Surely there are people that have their gurus and follow every word. I bet you have people that seem to listen to your every word in your non-cyber world. and appreciate it very much. I have a following of my own. Recently when I refinanced I had four people who followed me, teed up their information at the mortgage brokers/banks. And zero out of four could pull the trigger and all missed the opportunity when long bond was at 4.69. Many others with mortgages several percent above the market didn't follow although they purported to be fascinated.

So, naive ant doesn't forsee participating in this forum to be the next guru with the most people bookmarking his profile and then front running his "advice". I believe that the money is to be made by judgment, not by hyping. I am here to learn and share and ask questions, and try to work out my best judgment.

Or I could hype my money market position right now and maybe everyone would follow me into money markets. OOPS, that reduces my return. Nevermind <g>.
