I assume SI spam means this as a measureable postability:

* Posting improper or off-topic messages or posting more than twenty messages in six hours. (From ToU)

Also, I consider spam to be repetitive touting of an issue's virtues on many threads. SI doesn't control that very well.

But as SI admits, they are complaint driven. My opinion is that they (Bob, Jill and whomever) are doing a good job overall. I have had at least one post removed due to a complaint. I don't think anyone using SI for the intended purpose would ever be censured.

In fact, some who violate the ToU on the AENG thread are being allowed to slash and burn at each other because the thread originator is just as guilty and the thread has deteriorated to just garbage anyway. The same is true on the WARNING thread.

Go with the flow, try a little GHB, relax, the world can't be defined in black and white terms. That's why we have middle management. :)
