Just a moment before I read your post on SI response it occurred to me that I have this new Gateway...un-named, as yet....turned off and hooked to a phone line. So, while keeping the Mac on SI using a cable hookup I got on the ISP and loaded SI from there. While reading your post I tried the tracert on the Gateway; the box came up blank and vanished. I then hit the response key to your post and sat amused that I had two blank monitors staring at me for 7 or 8 minutes. By the way, the Gateway still has not fully loaded the opening SI page. So the ISP has even worse response than the cable modem does. I have another ISP hookup but what's the sense. I'm afraid my posting is finito for the day, s'long.
