Hello Alan and Shalom, Regarding anothers thought of regurgitating scripture.... Psalm 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. Regarding the "Church" as a harlot. The Church is the body of Christ, precious in the Lord's sight. It is His people that have been washed clean in His redemptive work. BUT If you would accept the view of the church ages depicted in Revelation and us being in the Laodicean age the Lord admonishes it's members.... Chp 3 15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold not hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth. 17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: 18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Do all fall in this category? No...., many throughout the world are laying down there lives literally in God's service. Does it paint an accurate picture of the churches of today? We have a love gospel without repentance, humanism preached, crystal cathedrals, and limp pulpit messages that would make a vulture wretch. Not all... but even one church like that is too much. The Lord stands at the door of our churches, knocking, wanting to be let in. Wouldn't you agree? I see His call to repentance for us all, a call to return to our first love, a call to repentance. In Christ, John
