The hordes are coming! I finally FedExed my MBT account application to Ross and company on Friday. I should be up and running sometime next week. Some random items I learned from Ross on Friday:

1. Uninvested cash is swept nightly into a money market fund. Current interest rate is about 4.75%

2. You can attach a "Vision" checking account to your account, for easier access to funds, another nice feature.

3. MBT does indeed use UUNET as its primary backbone provider (and I assume Townsend does as well). There are smaller T1 links to Sprintlink. My T1 backbone provider, WinStar, peers with Sprintlink, so I'm hoping this is adequate. I'm also now looking into a UUNET dial-up account for redundancy.

This should be interesting!
