Gary,

Congrats on joining MBT. As a customer of MBT I might be worried about so many people joining up this past week, except that I have seen MBT add routers and other equipment without hesitation when data loads increased. I am sure they are ready to handle more customers.

I'll be interested in hearing more of your technical insights regarding the backbone links etc once you are online. You might have seen my post to bede about Ross Ditlove's recommending I go for UUNET ISDN service to improve my data flow and eliminate the problems I had with quotes freezing. I am looking into that now and will let you know if I get it hooked up.

Rick

Dear Gary,

I would recommend www.msn.com as an ISP. Microsoft uses UUNET.

Regards

Gary, your comments just sealed my fate as well. I'm joining you and Tim at MBT. I just opened an account for both my work and personal access with DNAI in Berkeley for the express reason that they have a T3 to UUNET as their primary backbone and another T3 to AboveNet as their secondary. (They have two T1's for emergency backup to other providers.) The fact MBT is on UUNET is all I needed to know. I'M GETTING THE PAPERWORK!!!!

MBT does indeed use UUNET as its primary backbone provider (and I assume Townsend does as well)
