Dwight, I've derided Drudge, and I have no interest in reading the Starr report. Drudge is hardly a "news" site. He'll pass on anything that's leaked to him, if it suits his politics. Big deal. The "titillation", to use your word, from second hand accounts of the Starr report was plenty enough for me. I must note again that I was pleased to see the cigar show up in Henry Hyde's questions. Very relevant to the proceedings, I'd say.

You like that kind of stuff, fine. George Jr.'s problem isn't going to be people like me worrying about any past indiscretions. It's your side of the aisle that has to live with the new standards. The Republican party has to figure out how to please both its puritan moralist core and the general electorate, which is plenty fed up with this stuff by all indications. You want to join Mr. K. in petitioning the party for more BJgate, not less? Be my guest. Newt at least had the good grace to not blame his fall on the idiots who didn't vote Republican in the election.
