"why do that conversion"....I didn't do any conversion. Elizabeth or Bill Jackson was doing a calculation of the weight (or rather mass) of the ore body, and using the specific gravity of the rock, and then a conversion for the gold content. I simply supplied the correct formula for calculating mass from volume of ore body, it's specific gravity, and the oz/ton. The troy oz part is almost irrelevant since the conversion factors to oz and troy oz are virtually the same, given the uncertainties in (a) the actual volume of ore, and (b) the continuity of grade through the volume of ore.....R
