Here's the translation: "Orion has been doing poorly. Since the folks at Skynet are doing a bang up job, we'll dump the Orion sales division and let Skynet handle it. Orion's claim to fame is networking, internet, etc., but the sales haven't been there. Hopefully by cleaning out the dead weight there, we can put their superior technology to good use." In other words, "synergies" means we have people doing the same job at both divisions(one much better than the other), and we don't need that.
