It's nice that you're seeing these Compaq ads all over the place, but I've been really concerned about another aspect of CPQ's marketing - their weekly two-page spreads in Business Week. I haven't seen a mention of the Zip drive (at least in the Mid-Atlantic runs of the magazine) in any of their featured models. In fact, the only mentioned removable drive is the LS-120, which is one of their listed options.
Any idea of what's going on? IOM's relationship with Compaq is one of the most encouraging developments of the past six months - what are the chances that it's taking the same route as last year's big disappointments (the much touted " Zip replaces the floppy" in pretty much all of Apple's and Micron's units)?
