Ron : I agree with most of what you say except that I don't quite share your belief that Newt was forced to the moderate side. Also, Newt was the majority whip, not minority whip. It's hard to get out of that mind set and it's no wonder the Repub's were as ineffective in this last Congress as they were.

But you mention that hedge fund investors will get the chance to redeem in December. Why do hedge fund investors only get to redeem shares in december. Obviously you can tell I've never been in a hedge fund.......gregor

Another scenario would be for the conservative and moderate
forces in the Republican party to battle vigorously and
publicly. The subsequent weakening of the party might spook
investors.
