Good job Otter! I'll take VLSI to LSI at this juncture. Even Jubak at the Microsoft Investor dropped LSI from his list of stocks couple of days ago. He feels LSI's turnaround is a little ways off! LSI was however a bargain at around $ 12/13. Early 2000 LSI should be rising in the 20s, if you can wait that long - 60 % return still not a bad deal for LSI holders. I have made money on VLSI before. It is a good buy now. It should return 50 % next year. As for good news from VLSI over the next few months - it would be tepid at best! May be the mutual fund managers can drive up the price by voluminous buying to improve their bottom line. If VLSI crashes, buy some more and average out ! - stock is trading below book value now.
