Hal, I agree with alot of what you say. One thing that comforts me
is that the value of the name "AMPEX" has a market/goodwill value of
$2 per share at least if they simply were to be bought out.

Uhhh, speaking of gambling....Hal,I share your concerns about axc future.I started buying axc a while back after reading an article about how axc was developing technology that could be the future.(the deceast keepering technology).I continued buying the entire way down.I laughed to myself,I wont miss this opportunity,no fooling this savvy investor, just once I wont be the chump, get scared and sell for a loss.Heck,no!!Buy,Buy,Buy.Thats what the rich guys do!They dont get scared, they just keep buying when everyone else is running for the door.Warren Buffet?Hah,Ill play his game!!I can be just like him(minus the 2 billion dollars). So,here I am.Having committed way to much of the old portfolio to good old axc.Refusing to be denied my one chance left to make a good old fashioned killing.Yes,this one slim dollar a share stock was my roll of the metaphorical investing dice.As far as Ampex's future,It seems to be anyones guess.I am in agreement with you about not selling, not even a consideration,If it sinks,it sinks. So be it.
