Mr. K, sorry to butt in here, but I would like to comment on your post.

Personally, I agree with you about "opinion polls"; it would be nice to ban them, at least around election time. But as you point out, that would not be constitutional.

But again, I do not agree that "the left" (whatever that is) is responsible for fostering such notions as "the freedom from guilt, freedom from responsibility, freedom of choosing anything", etc. Some time ago, in a post to you, I suggested that the real propagator of the "anything goes" morality you deplore is the commercialism/consumerism/hucksterism that has come to dominate our society as a result of the technological revolution of the last 40 years. You never did respond to that post. How about a reaction? :-))

Oh, yes, and how would you characterize the Libertarians? They are pro-choice. Are Libertarians leftist?

Well your argument is weak; the pundits told us what we thought for how many long months and polls said there would be Republican victory; the American people ignoring the media, ignoring the polls, told everyone what they thought with something called their vote!

<<politicaly incorrect to stigmatize promiscuous, out of wedlock sex>> Oh my my, K how very clever of you to paint the unmarried with the dreaded PC brush. A clever but pathetic attempt to criticize those of us who are so immoral as to not be married and still indulge in the forbidden fruit. What would you have us unmarried do? Self abuse? Oops that's a no no too now isn't it?
<<we as a slowly degenerating society>> I think not my friend. I like "we as a highly enlightened society" <<I will ...when necessary to provide the resources that allow young woman[to] bring the baby to term and putting it up for adoption>> Bravo! <<We have lost the abortion battle>> amen!.
