Japanese Retail PC sales:

Follow the article threads and you can decode the numbers. Comparison looks good for this week because of the typhoon disruption last year.

Here are the numbers for total PCs, in units of %increase

Volume Value Volume Value
start Week-o-w W-o-W Year-o-Year YOY
9/15 +5.5 +5.1 +43.6 +41.6
9/21 +2.6 +3.0 +52.6 +50.8
9/28 -20.8 -20.6 +53.5 +52.2
10/5 -0.5 -1.7 37.6 37.5
10/12 -6.2 -6.4 58.5 57.5

Evidently the market/bond slide put a dent in confidence resulting in a 20% drop that hasn't been recovered.

Robert---refresh my memory on the difference between DUV and EUV.
Don't want to put the job on you, but TIA. Also remind me in layman
terms where CYMER stands as far as EUV goes. My old brain doesn't
seem to retain the details anymore.
