Joe, A few points.

1) The endeavour is not a pdq-centric (or CE) affair. It has far greater implications, requires much more depth of effort and a broader perception of vision.

2) Qualcomm is ready to rock and roll with something. They have a strong history of only stepping up to the table with a full house. Why is today different than yesterday?

3) HDR is the heart of the Q's contribution.

4) The infrastructure providers (US West et al) will be at tomorrow's party.

5) There is something all encompassing about tomorrow. That is why it is at Redmond.

6) The *real* work will not be the building of tools. It will be converting the masses to the new religion. The Q excels Microsoft in this area. That's the carrot. Walking is the stick.

Maybe, Bill is going to announce his retirement? nj
