I guess Merck is not that far behind. Even if MRK were to submit tomorrow, it won't be approved til next May/June 99? MTC hopefully will have close to 6 mos head start.

Since MRK's better (MRK needs one pill per day but MTC requires two per day) I would think the FDA may approve MRK's faster than I would think (6 mos for fast track review). Anyway, are these two drugs identical in terms of 'ingredients' for lack of better terms and are they treating the same kinda symptons?
