This is a REALLY important news article in my opinion for 2 reasons. First it restates Qualcomms involvement with Palm and that this involvement will not evaporate as WK (WirelessKnowledge) takes off. And second it states that while they are using the Microsoft product as their server architecture they are looking to make a better business model for Eudora.

This brings a question and a statement to mind. First the statement, it would be really near sighted and fairly foolish of QCOM to give up its still dominant market share of Eudora users just for the sake of this JV. And then the question, could this be leading to a pdQ type product that is software independant? Is this even feasable? If so then they could also run Symbian and not even skip a beat. With this in mind I wonder how much the Symbian collaborators are sweating now?
