Jeff:

Interesting....

Unfortunately though if you have an old 286, 386 or 486 with DOS or Win 3.1 that you use for word processing or other uses say in an office or school (believe it or not there are a lot of these systems out there), McAfee's system will be of little use too you.

McAfee minimum system requirements are as follows:
CD Rom Drive
Windows95 or Windows 98 / 8MB RAM / 3MB Hard Disk Space

Whereas MBCK's are as follows for the WinX version:
1MB RAM, 32bit, 386DX or higher

And MBCK also has a DOS version for 286 16-bit machines or higher.

(MBCK has versions available for DOS, Windows 3.X, 95, 98, Client Server, and Point of Sale [Electronic Cash Registers]).

Now what market is PINC explicitly targeting? Pre-1996 and pre-pentium systems.

Based upon the above systems requirements taken verbatim from both companies sites, who is best focused to take advantage of this market?

The company whose product will only operated with Win 95/98 that requires a lot more RAM and a more powerful processor, or the one that can work with a wide range of operating systems with a lot less RAM and 286/386/486 Chipsets and Bios?

Jeff, for a person who didn't even know who the CEO of the company is that you have selected to deride, you may at least try to be able to tell the difference between apples and oranges.

You should also take a few marketing courses to find out how companies package their products to sell to particular markets.
