"If Sam had no audience, and if the Christians on this thread would cast him out in the name of Jesus, he would surely go back to his own self made misery. Sam gloats here, Christians have made him feel like a the star, just by virtue of their attentiveness!"

Ol Sam welcomes all the power you can muster by authority of Jesus. So far the Christ in me says Sam forgive them of their ignorance. Your persecuting me hardly touches the hem of my garment or you prodigal sons would return Jesus and accept the Christ that dwells in your trite, calloused, captive heart.

Shalom

I did not respond to that other post because I would then be forced to say that I thought you were not totally honest, IMO, with your statement that you were only engaging in brevity. I thought the higher road was to not engage down a path that would only escalate into a potentially conflict increasing scenario. (I only mention it now, to answer your comments) I saw no upside in pursuing it.

You contradict yourself in your definitions of fellowship. First you state it as a meaning fellowshipin christianity, then you use it in the more generic sense to pal around with or hang out with.

The context you use it in, completely underscores the point I was making. You say that christians shouldn hang around or pal with God haters. As you use the term(which you will now undoubtedly deny)
that means people who dont believe in christianity. that promotes seperatism, isolation, and keeps people from developing a common ground. You have gone on record many times as saying that no discourse with people who disagree is the preferable method. I just happen to think that is a path that doesnt lead to greater spirituality, it leads to less.

As for my brand of spirituality, I am very comfortable with it. I repeat, that anything leads to love and tolerance is of god, anything that doesnt, isnt. I leave it to you to decide where yours fits in.
