Steven, re: The most successful transparent human interface is the spoken word, not the written word True, if you talking about communicating person to person. Machine and man have yet to find success speaking to each other in horizontal application. It's not just the weaknesses of the technology, it's the fact that when a lot of information is presented, visual interpretation is faster, and choices are presented in a persistent and organized fashon. That's why the dictation and command/control apps that run quite nicely on PCs have yet to excite the world. In vertical applications, like the AutoPC, there may be VUI utility. But that's not going to come from NOCs processing voice, it will come from ICs at the edge of the network. Witness L&H, ART. That's as far as I'll go with the vision stuff. The reason I'm here is to make money today and tomorrow, not for 2110. db
