TED Off topic. I have been having trouble the last couple weeks with any site having anything to do with chat such as SI. The trouble was any chat site was incredibly slow. All other sites were fast as usual. So today I plugged the cable modem into the old 486 and what do you know the chat sites worked fast again. That said the problem was somewhere in the new PC. The old PC has Win 95. The new one has Win 98. The new PC worked fine until a couple weeks even with Win 98. That said the problem was something added to Win 98 in the last 2 weeks. I checked the Microsoft update record and there was Microsoft chat added within the last 2 weeks. Just as a fluke try I deleted it and what do you know SI works fast again. Could it be that Microsoft has planted something in their chat that makes others work slower?
