Very sorry to hear that PCNut has let you down

I was surprised also. Humphrey did respond to my cancelation email siting " serious growing pains" and offered an apology. I think he is a fine technician in need of a business manager. A situation I can empathize with having been there twice in my lifetime. I fully intend to make use of his services in the future acnd I indicated such to him. I 'm certain he and I understand each others positions, timing was just not there.

ESC, while a little
pricier, has great support and a great reputation.

They responded I had too many items they don't carry..

www.minotaur.com

never heard of them but will take a look, thanks. So far, only KC Computer has indicated a willingness to tango, have you ever dealt with them? Also waiting for New Frontiers to respond... they feature Aopen and have good resellerratings....

'd now opt for
the boxed 300a over the 266.

I was thinking along those lines myself, more specifically those remarked PII 450s.
But then again I tend to like the plan to learn NT on the $85-$97 c266 until new celerons come out in H1 99 or c300a drop further by then. I think better deals are to be had in 1999 when I'll be ready to make use of an optimized CPU. But I've realized system spec'ing is a dynamic process and may well opt c300a at the final moment...
