OEM vs Retail

Will I be making a mistake by buying OEM versions of...

WinNT- no hardcopy manual but much cheaper
VID
Sound Card
NIC

Also..SDRAM or SGRAM Millenium G200? there's a $25 difference, is SGRAM worth it for real time data and charts?

TIA
Clarence

RE: 300a vs. 266. I've already posted my opinion on the celeron and overclocking, I just thought I would give an update on a system I put together this week.
Every Celeron I have used up to now has been OEM versions, it is pretty well documented that the retail boxed and the OEM are identical CPUs, coming from both Costa Rica and Malaysia. The best I have ever gotten from a 300a is 464mhz (103x4.5 at 2.0 volts) This week I received a retail 300A from mushkin. It is marked "SL32A Malaysia". I have read that this is a particularly good one and I was able to get it running very reliably at 504mhz! (112x4.5 at 2.2 volts) I was stoked!!!! Even though it isn't alot faster % wise on the benchmarks than a 300a at 464mhz, it does benchmark faster than a genuine $600+ PII 450! I don't think it was the fact that is was a boxed version that made it better, I think it was the SL32A run that is better. And this run should be had in both boxed and OEM

Pretty pathetic that I (we) get excited over something like this, isn't it? Guess I am just a geek-o-nerd at heart. :-)

So Clarence, I'd say go for the 300a, you might get lucky and get one of these running at 504!!!

Good Luck
Dan
