Stitch,

I do have to say again that I am totally impressed with your technical expertise. I have nearly none when it comes to DD science. But I have made a pile of money in SEG.

agreed that there are short term jerks and starts.

I feel a little dismissed by your response. I believe there may be some additional room for profit in this stock if these jerks and starts are analyzed a little. I would not put the Dell catalog aside, nor would I dismiss anecdotal evidence. This thread can be a little of a puzzle. Most threads are filled with novice investors. This one is primarily filled with people with incredible technical knowledge. It is intimidating posting when I know I can't keep up with the science. But sometimes I think on this thread we get carried away too far with science. Sometimes we lose sight of the stock. My first attempt was to get the technical analysis discussion to be cooled a little because I knew it was inhibiting good fundamental discussion. A new thread resulted. The second attempt I made was to say politely "hey guys this isn't only a disk drive company, there are other assets". Today I interviewed 5 computer programmer/analysts. All volunteered that in their opinion, disk drives had gotten ahead of the pack of other components in development.

I want to question your judgment on the Dragon Stake, too. I think it is more than a green tomato to be watched. Look at the internet stocks. There is not one winner but dozens. Today, even in a down day for most internet stocks, there were some tremendous winners, notably ipo EWBX and KTEL. If, and perhaps this is a big if, Speech recognition is a killer app, there will be many winners. We should learn from the internet frenzy that often perception of winning is enough. However, don't lose sight of the fact that the Dragon stake might be a pearl under cultivation, not a tomato. And SEG might just be the purest play in the area if the other winner is IBM.

As I have previously disclosed, I have no position in SEG at present.
