Bearke - Re: " As the lady used to say in the Wendy's commercials, "Where's the beef?"

Right here - $103 11/16.

That's plenty of beef.

And you don't have any - but I got PLENTY OF IT !

Re: "Are they having a down year this year? "

No - revenues are up !

Earnings are down but INCREASING.

Look at reality - in 1996, 40% of the world was not in a recession and Intel didn't have a Kamikaze Kompetitor slashing prices by 25% every 6 weeks. In 1997 and 1998, Intel had to deal with these situations.

And now, Intel has turned its business around.

By the way - do you know what business Intel is in or what products it makes?

Or is this information not relevant to the Bearke Opinions ?

Paul

Michael, >>>As a wise man once said, it ain't sales, it's margins. Most cos. can have up sales if they don't make money on the crap they sell.<<<

You are in denial. Intel has gross margins upward 53% and net income 1998 close to $6B. Their net income is greater than gross revenues for these cos:

Dun & Bradstreet Bank of Boston Wells Fargo
Corning Ryder Systems Boise Cascade
Bethelhelm Steel Nike Bank of New York

Just to name a few.
