Paul, why do you think Intel isn't demonstrating Katmai at Comdex? Do you think they're trying to keep it quiet so they don't cannibalize Christmas sales, or is it a software thing?

Doug

. Intel's Rosy View Spurs Higher Profit Estimates
(From Investor's Business Daily)
Date: 11/12/98

First Call's consensus fourth-quarter forecast for Intel jumped to $1.05 a share from
95 cents, with 27 of 32 analysts chiming in. That would be up 7% from a year ago.
The moves came after the chipmaker predicted its first real sales growth in five
quarters, driven by strong PC demand. For '99, the consensus rose 24 cents to $4.16,
up 22% from expected '98 net. The stock gained 6 1/8 to 103 1 1/16. The news
helped other tech stocks, too.
