jbe, I just typed in Global Warming in two major newspapers. The first one USA today. The second from the Washington Post. These are the headlines for 1998. Let's just see how balanced they really are. :-) Byline Date Number of Words Section Page 100 Scientists: Get ready for global warming Traci Watson Thur., Oct. 29, 1998 602 NEWS 3A 100 Coral in peril as reefs suffer worldwide Kathryn Winiarski Mon., Oct. 19, 1998 738 NEWS 4A 100 Reports vary widely on cost of stopping global warming Traci Watson Tues., Oct. 13, 1998 579 NEWS 22A 100 July breaks worldwide temperature record Traci Watson Tues., Aug. 11, 1998 400 NEWS 3A 100 Gore puts heat on Congress over global warming program Traci Watson Wed., July 15, 1998 325 NEWS 2A 100 'A window on the future' of weather Not one trace of controversy regarding the legitimacy of Global Warming.... Let's try the Washington Post...THE DAY THE SEA STOOD STILL; ANCIENT ERUPTIONS, GLOBAL WARMING AND MASS DEATH It may have been the blast that changed the world.GLOBAL WARMING ASSERTIONS ENHANCED; STUDY CITES FLAW IN DATA COLLECTION THAT UNDERMINES POSITION OF SKEPTICS It is one of the most perplexing scientific questions of the global warming debate: If the planet is getting hotter, as many experts contend, why do satellites show Earth's atmosphere growing cooler?JULY WAS WORLD'S HOTTEST MONTH ON RECORD; HIGH TEMPERATURES FUEL GLOBAL WARMING DEBATE Now if your theory is correct and we have very little liberal bias in the major newspapers, than there should be about 50% pro-Global Warming articles, and 50% anti-Global Warming articles right?? Especially since 18,000 scientists have signed a petition stating there is no evidence of Global Warming! Now look at the evidence objectively jbe. What does it tell you? Is there a bias in the news reporting on Global Warming or not? :-) Michael
