Well jbe, that does surprise me a bit. However, take a look at the liberal spin the headlines show. Let me analyze a few for you..:-) INDUSTRIAL GROUP PLANS TO BATTLE CLIMATE TREATY Industry opponents of a treaty to fight global warming have drafted an ambitious proposal to spend millions of dollars to convince the public that the environmental accord is based on shaky science. In other words a crazed anti-environmental group is about to pull the wool over everyones eyes by spending millions of dollars on a bogus campaign. How dare a crazed scientist attack the wonderfully benign and sensible international community. Intense Lobbying Against Global Warming Treaty If the Clinton Administration is struggling to strike a deal on global warming at talks in Kyoto, Japan, that is partly because warring domestic interest groups have spent many months -- and millions of dollars -- on highly effective lobbying campaig Another reference to the millions of dollars to pull the wool over sensible peoples mind. At least a couple of the references could be considered balanced reporting, however, I would be interested to see the rest of the story to know for sure. Michael

jbe, I just typed in Global Warming in two major newspapers. The first one USA today. The second from the Washington Post. These are the headlines for 1998.
