My first instinct is to write "you obviously know squat about the semiconductor industry so why argue?"

My new found niceness says "tell him that the whole industry has been in the toilet so any good news that we might have turned is significant. Earnings numbers for this and the next few quarters are meaningless but look for 2000 and beyond."

Scroll down to the the last post and find:

"When the company announced third quarter earnings in October, the expectations were that revenue in the fourth quarter of 1998 would be up slightly from the third quarter revenue of $6.7 billion. The company now expects higher revenue."

My buy point on Intel was at $68 back in June so my followers did well. Many are taking SOME profits now. (note some I help have options that need to be exercised so we try to time the exercise date for good profits). Long term, it is hard to find a stock I would rather own if bought at the right price. If you are over 4% in Intel and like diversity, then I advise taking some immediate profits, otherwise hold for the long term. I don't think you can pry my shares out of my hands....
