interesting story.

Replace the Matriarch carry news of the "truth" with an enemy tribe (hedge funds) who will benefit greatly if everyone gets killed.

Knowing the vulnerability, the enemy moved in for the kill. That is why I think hedge funds are like economic nuclear weapons. There is no way countries like Thailand can defend themselves against the likes of Soros. I am not smart enough to come up with an answer but I think hedge funds should be regulated.
