Just what the doctor ordered.

Here is a wild idea and mind you I am not going soft on Kumar.

Perhaps Kumar is doing us all a favor and I tell you why?

For one thing Dell has this tremendous burden put up on them by analysts, investors and others to perform miracles quarter after quarter and thank god they have been able to perform thus far and indications are they will still continue to do so.But I think it has come to a point where thess expectations are growing in such a way that it is going out of the realm of reality.

So perhaps Kumar's intention is to deflate this unrealistic expectations from the stock and bring it back to a more healthy level, it shouldn't in reality affect the price of the stock though it might, I say this because he still has a 'stron buy' on the company even though he pointed out some possible minor changes that he might have noticed that is taking place here are there base on the data he had which could be viewed by some as a negative even though it is insignificant in reality and not the whole story.

Having said that there is nothing wrong with DELL,the company's growth rate is intact at +50% better than anybody in the Fortune 500 segment of the business world, market share is growing here and abroad,ASP is still the best in the biz, earnings are still superior, when it comes to ROIC there are no peers, inventory turns are the best in the industry, still the leader in virtual integration...well you get the idea but the only thing that is going against the company is the excessive expectations of the market place, and may be it was time somebody take some of this out of the market so that DELL can continue its unprecedented and stellar growth.

I have Ashok's boss's email but sending him email is nothing less than a futile exercise as it won't do any good. Oh a lot of people from the biz take a peek now and then at SI to see what is going on,may be expressing our opinion here is a better idea than trying to go direct to these companies be it Piper Jaffray or Prudential or whomever. I know Intel watches their thread on SI and many others do too,as an example a time or two I have been contacted by Fortune magazine,Standard & Poors and couple of others and that tells me these guys might be watching.

So that is what I am thinking,do I make any sense or is it coming across as a lot of gibberish?
