You would think with the lack of dividends these days that book values would start to build in some companies. I guess between all of the charge offs and dilution due to options it has evaporated.

If you try to argue this with some bulls, they will tell you book value is understated due to depreciation and goodwill. If you try to argue that earnings may be overstated due to charges, they will tell you charges don't really count.

I wish the someone would get the rules right so the books would mean what they are supposed to mean.
