I agree a merger with ASND would be great for all involved. ASND would get fiber products, and could pick up MRVC for a great price -- probably around one quarter's worth of revenue. It makes a lot of sense. Cheers

Based on my quick reading of the MD&A section of the Form 10-Q filed on friday:

sec.yahoo.com

I am wondering out loud:

R&D spending up, as ASND's was last year when the company was priced low.

Net Income for the 9 months up nearly 15% when the Xyplex costs are removed.

Gross margin going in the wrong direction, but a new product line not finished in time for the 9 month results, but implied to be coming soon. Any guesses on what that product is? When it might be announced?

Cost cutting moves in action.

Potential dilutive effect of convertible debt, but not until over $27 per share.

What does Xyplex do for MRVC anyway? Positive, negative?

Sales up nicely. Now if profits could just follow.

Seems like positive stuff when you read the MD&A out of the 10-Q filed by MRVC on friday. I wonder if volume was low because investors were waiting for the Form 10-Q to be filed so they could read it. The SEC was very backed up yesterday. It took over 2 hours to get an edgar confirmation of the Q that I filed yesterday.

Is this ASND at $22?

Sector, feedback please and thank you.
