Here's a little bit more SEEK news announced on Wednesday. Looks like they're strengthening their ties with Microsoft:
MSN(TM) Sidewalk(R), the online guide that helps consumers make better decisions about how to spend their time and money, recently announced online distribution and advertising agreements with several top Internet Web sites. By creating marketing alliances with some of the most visited sites on the Internet, including an exclusive agreement with Infoseek Corp., MSN Sidewalk will be easily accessible to millions of online consumers every day.

Happy SEEKing all...

Ummmm, so it looks like I was wrong about this morning. :-(

Well, the best thing that can be said is that the volume has been light.

Kinda makes you wish you owned some TGLO- priced at $9, flopping around right now in the $80s.

A squib of interest from Briefing.com:

<<10:26 ET Lehman On Portals: Firm says its portal concerns remain intact given recent run-up in the stocks over hype regarding Internet holiday sales; believes that portal competition continues to increase, with likes of deep-pocket players such as NBC, Microsoft and Disney entering the arena; competition will force portals to increase marketing spending, which will possibly impact margins; lastly, notes that in most competitive marketplaces only a handful of properties survive -- most cities have only one or two newspapers, there are only four broadcast networks, and two major weekly news magazines. "Thus we doubt that eight portals are necessary.">>
