< my number is 10533>

Mine is 10,543. WAY different.

Just kidding, obviously our providers are reasonably close unless this is just some weird coincidence.

Scott,
I agree....what's the problem....so many go up - so many go down - so many are unchanged
This is realy basic stuff....

I looked into 3 different sources and all 3 were different over a
similar period of time. Some differences were over 20+ and this was
continious over the 25d period.

Maybe it's to much to handle....for some 'body' adding up and subtracting
all those NYSE companies by hand calculator at each source.

Yahoo's A/D actually changes from the close and later the next morning.
Yesterday at close A=1337 by morning =1350.....D=1660 by morning =1681
This mornings WSJ has A=1350 D=1681

It may have something to do with how tired the accountants are at 4:00pm>smile<
Some of the historical data bases I looked at were completely different
from the recorded daily figures presented on screen to those recorded in
the historical data base.

I'll be using the WSJ....

Makes you wonder about all that inocuious data compiled for users and
the underling reliability of those data baisis for indexes and other
charting material being churned out by providers.
Wait until the year 2000 bug to change anything....
Especially if your system works today.
Just a Thought
Chip
