Fred, not sure that your post and questions are capable of being answered in a brief post, but I'll give it a try--in terms of what I look for:

$win/loss ratio > 3:1

$win/loss ratio > 3:1 in each year of the most recent 3 year period after eliminating the single worst winning and losing trade

% trades not important but would like to see it stay within 40% or higher

Draw-down--closing basis-- must be kept within reasonable levels -- reasonable being what I would feel comfortable living with though it obviously varies with individuals

I don't like to see more than 5 consecutive losing trades -- only important because it can cause one to deviate from the system -- but this is not an imperative.

Money-management stop must be an integral part of the system and will generally not exceed the $ average winning trade.
