The answer better be a resounding "FALSE".......

The whole point of the EGM (Extraordinary General Meeting) was to get the necessary shareholder approval for the buyback, which they got.

Now, we're just waiting for the President to put his John Handcock, er... Sim Wong Hoo, on it! ;)

Yes, they must have....but at this rate it won't matter. There's nothing to say that the annual meeting won't come before the Singapore government finally "officially" approves shareholder buyback. It's looking more and more like any 1998 buyback will be minimal. Those who think that CREAF is going to go nuts and purchase 10% at whatever price aren't thinking. The longer this drags out, the fewer shares (if any) will get retired in 1998.
