an informative post regarding one of AMTD's dirrect competitors #reply-6421382. AMTD's quotes not only cost you, but by the time it comes up, it's anything but timely. I e-mailed them a while back about providing real time quotes, and got a snide reply. Honest. This was before they provided x amount of free quotes for x number of trades. I still find their quote service appalling, and never use it. and their services links are a bad set up also. I suggested there that they use hot links so you don't lose your amtd screen, but only got an auto reply to that one.

Gil, I am back again. I forgot whether you are an employee of AMTD or have a large holding of AMTD or you use AMTD for trading at all. However, I would say their service is really bad and they just won't admit it. I have not seen so many problems with online trading from other brokerage houses and they just won't fix them. Probably to save money to the bottom line. I still don't own or short AMTD but will move some of my money somewhere else soon. If you use AMTD's service, please check your statement for margin charge. I called them to explain the margin interest and they ask me to check my statement and if there is an error, they will correct it. This is the second time and I don't understand why they can not explain the charge to me when I called them. Enough to say about AMTD and I hope they gain enough market share to pay for better system to support their existing customers. I am having problems in the past few weeks and this morning. How about everyone else? silinv
