Elmer and All : What percentage of Intel's CPU sales are still in socket 7? Are Celerons in slot 7 or just Pentimum MMX? I assume all K6s are in socket 7 which would make them cheap alternative for Intel's parts. I read somewhere that K7 is not socket 7 compatible. I wonder why K7 can not stay in socket 7. Is K7 going to be compatible to Pentimum II slot 1? (is it slot 1?) Thank you all in advance for answering my questions.

Best regards, nimingdn. 11/15/98
