It would be much easier if a woman would say "how about if I come over maybe three days a week, we can have a nice dinner, wine, and then an hour of good sex and the I will go home?"

Wonderful post Cat!! I use to be a lowerlife form such as Len, but after wondering for years where the emptiness of life came from, I discovered a lot about myself and found that changing sexual partners every month, six-months, even 2-3 years was very unfullfill. In defense of men, it could be because my unusual high-testosterone level was totally out of control. Anyways, now I am of the belief that sex is somewhat of a spiritual act (not in a religious sense by any means, because I don't believe that two souls unit). But there is a physical bonding that occurs that is extremely strong that goes beyond description by words. It's a very intimate and binding experience, and just using sex for the main purpose of releasing sexual energy is just not satisfying anymore. It dismisses what really happened. Also, I think lots of folks use sex as a substitute for sex unknowingly, but rationalize it as just sex for enjoyment of sex. I've searched deep down in myself, and found that to be a big lie to myself. Sorry for the seriousness of this post, but I guess the subject has lately made me reflect a lot on sex....there's been a whole lot of it in my life in the past, in fact at one time I thought I was a sex addict, but too much of it has had a hard price to pay.
