Dog,

You seem to be able to wield the axe as well as any on the threads and better than most. I appreciate your wit and I am certain that many other share that appreciation. Nevertheless, do not expect to be thrown any softballs.

The FUD campaign against DELL this quarter was way overblown.
When you consider the climate of the third quarter is actually amazing. We had hedge fund meltdowns, the Russian crisis, the Brazil crisis, the liquidity crisis, several Japanese crises, the threat of a China devaluation, etc. We also had the Xeon announcement followed by two serious Xeon bugs and a production yield problem as well and DELL still did not skip a beat.

In retrospect, however, I think expectations for DELL were excessive.
Not a whole lot of patience was exhibited by many stockholders who were expecting to get rich ASAP. There was the exploitation of this milieu by Ashok who remains unrepentant.

Regards,

Jim Kelley
