Emile, the reason I think 1st quarter is key, is that the cable companies are VERY AGRESSIVELY going after the residential market which already has cable facilities in place.

I recently checked with TCI to see if @Home was available to me and they responded that Lafayette (California) has it, but my specific neighborhood does not. THis doesn't surprise me, but the fact Lafayette has it at all does. We are usually LAST to get new technology since we are a small town with semi-rural neighborhoods. ADSL is available in 21 days in Walnut Creek, 7 miles away.

If the phone RBOCs wait until 2nd or 3rd quarter to gear up aggresively, they will give away the business to cable in the residential area, at least. Fortunately, cable can't address commercial/business very well.
