sportsman: I think the company has swept out all the bad news, so until Q3 earnings are reported in late January, forces unrelated to the company's current performance will likely drive the stock price. Some analysts have raised their estimates, Adaptec announced a RAID partnership with Dell last week, and this week it is projected to show the first Ultra3 SCSI card. These are positives. There is always a chance there will be other product announcements, and with what appears to me to be a resurgence in computer-related sales, who knows, Adaptec just might do fairly well this quarter. Or it might not.

We don't know how long the share repurchase program will continue. The company has been authorized to buy up to $200M worth of shares. That could take awhile.

If you see the 10-11 price range again, I would be surprised. But then, I've been surprised before.
