Does anyone have, or know where to get the total number of units Apple sold this year, versus this time last year. Also, is this a relevant question to ask? I have a friend who claims that the total units sold (Powerbooks, G3's, iMacs everything) is still decreasing year over year. Can this be right?

How are international sales ? iMAC roll-out was staggered outside the USA .

The CRNews report ends at September , notes it accumulated its data "on-line" , but the item does not indicate locations :

" Computer Retail Week (CRW), the leading weekly retail channel publication. In August and September, CRW polled approximately 200 front-line retail sales people to select the most popular products of the year in five categories: desktop computers, mobile computing, software, peripherals and accessories. "

CompUSA's sales report Friday updated CRNew's September report with its statement of best ever iMAC sales last weekend and looking forward to record Xmas sales due to iMAC's lease program etc.

Expect MAC's international sales will be equally bullish when reported , ... probably after op expirations (Friday) .
