I don't know what the margins are for Adaptec's EasyCD software, but the growth of the CD-R, -RW market is bound to have (be having) a postive effect on Adaptec's business. It seems that most of the CD-R and -RW drives ship with Adaptec software and at least some Smart and Friendly drives ship with an Adaptec SCSI card. Couple this with the apparent strength of the server market (especially the association with Dell, but not exclusively), Adaptec's refocus resulting probably in significant reductions in operating costs (nearly 1,000 less employees, transfer of satellite, FC, and storage segments to strategic partners), I have a hunch the remainder of the FY will show nice results in earnings.

But this appears to be a dialogue with myself. So, I must be right.
