FONX is raising it's head again. "The Company reported operating results for the third quarter ending September 30, 1998 and the first nine months of 1998. Total revenue for the quarter was $199,017 and $2,671,302 for the nine-month period. The company had no revenue in the first three quarters of 1997. "Excluding one-time charges taken in the quarter for in-process product development and research related to the acquisition of Articulate Systems, Inc., and related to renegotiating the reset provisions of the acquisition funding instruments, the company showed a loss for the quarter of approximately $7,550,000 compared to a loss of approximately $5,250,000 for the same period last year. Roger, on the Avco thread there is a nasty story about E-Trade. Dale Baker shorted AVCO days ago and was able to cover into the $3.50 suckers open today. What did E-Trade. They declared the stock not marginable and not shortable afterwards, namely not before today and annulled /reversed the short trade a n d the anyway highly profitable buy - in retrospect. Message 6439262 and the corresponding responses. Something like that happened to me on Datek to, but with a much faster reaction of Datek, which is understandable so far - within hours on NETG in July. But E-Crap? Such a thing, I think, comes very close to fraud. C.
